Week 1

This week was rightly called “boot camp” because I felt as though I ran a marathon. I was asked to create several accounts on sites such as Flickr, Tweeter, and YouTube. I quickly learned that coming up with a username for all accounts was impossible and remembering all of them is extremely confusing. No worries, I have them all written down now.  I was really excited once my domain was all set up, it is so much fun to type my name into URL box and get to my very own webpage!  I’m new to most of the programs we were asked to set-up and this week we were ask to use to use YouTube to make a video. I learned that I’m a lot more camera shy than I thought. In fact, I refuse to watch my video because I know I sound stupid. However, I learned to create and upload a video which was amazingly easy. The hardest part of this week was “tags”. I’m still confused on how tags work, but I’ve learned to trust they do becasue my work is appearing on the Daily Create site. Tweeter is still really frustrating, but this is my second class that has required it and at least this class actually uses it. In the end, I’m not sure if I’m excited or scared for what is to come in this class. However, I’m in it for the long haul and ready for the next challenge (so long as the directions and YouTube video keep coming :) )

Here is my first Daily Create. Although I find it super embarrassing, it was easy! Like I said tags were confusing, but they seemed to work.

Here are the links to all my accounts for this class:

Twitter is frustrating, but I’m getting the hang of it:

Have a good rest of the week!
